Sian Fan

We collaborated with interdisciplinary artist, Sian Fan to create our ‘Peace’ immersive world with ASMR sounds by Ben Dixon (beta prototype).

Sian Fan is a talented interdisciplinary artist who uses movement, the female body, and technology to explore profound themes like embodiment, spirituality, and the human experience in the digital age. Drawing on her background in contemporary and aerial dance she suspends, augments, and interrupts the body via choreography and digital media. She seamlessly blends the physical and virtual realms through sculpture, costume, performance, animation, and virtual/augmented reality. 

Fan's work delves into the impact of virtual and image technologies on our physical experiences. She seeks to connect with her Chinese heritage while reconciling it with her Western upbringing. Her art is a personal journey, filled with insecurities, realities, and fantasies. Her work has been recognized internationally, with exhibitions at prestigious institutions like Tate Modern, FACT Liverpool, Somerset House, and the V&A.
